Austin lost his home in Ohio, and was seeking help from the VA in Pittsburgh. Shepherd's Heart Veteran's Home gave Austin a second chance. Austin says he felt "warm and embraced. I felt very welcomed and sheltered and I felt like I had a place to go."

Cornell faced an unexpected eviction, leaving him with no support, no place to call home, and nowhere to turn. Within 12 hours of his eviction, Cornell had a new home at Shepherd's Heart Veteran's Home. Cornell says, "When I entered the doors of Shepherd’s Heart, I felt like I could breathe again. There were opportunities, a safe place, a feeling of well being, that I was okay.”

Shepherd's Heart is an Anglican Church located in Pittsburgh, PA. This video, “A Future Full of Hope,” encapsulates the history and heart behind our ministries.

Duquesne University Occupational Therapy Students, Sydney, Beth, and Jenna, won a video competition at the Duquesne University’s Research Symposium with a video about their role at Shepherd’s Heart. We are so grateful for all the work they have done to better the lives of the Veterans at Shepherd’s Heart Veteran’s Home, “House of Hope.”

We participate in Panera Bread's Day-End Dough-Nation program to give to a needy organization in Pittsburgh.

Re: Create

The Rev. Sean Norris, (formerly of Southside Anglican now in Charleston, SC), Tina Wurschmidt (Shepherd's Heart Fellowship - Pittsburgh, PA) and Katherine Rosier (Trinity Anglican - Beaver, PA) came together first in 2016 to help each other with song writing. The sessions developed into an album called: Re:Create - To The Many. Consisting of  9 original songs about God's abundant and amazing grace even when we can feel in a place of doubt or faithlessness. Each song is hoped to be a blessing for many who need the encouragement to keep going and look up to the One who is with us through every season we find ourselves. You can purchase this album through iTunes, Amazon or hear them on Spotify!
